Rubber casters use solid rubber wheels on the Sumatic 01 series fork, in 3 to 8 inch sizes with ratings from 50kg to 350kg per wheel, with rigid and brake configurations as standard options. Rubber is the load-bearing and abrasion-resistant end of the wheel material range, and it is the default for concrete floors, outdoor routes, dock edges and heavy per-wheel loads.
Rubber earns its position with load capacity and durability. Solid rubber carries the highest per-wheel loads of the standard compounds without rim deformation, which is why the heaviest single-wheel ratings on the site sit in this line. It resists grit, oil and dock-edge impacts that destroy softer compounds, and it tolerates outdoor exposure that degrades TPR and PVC. On rough concrete, rubber is the only standard compound that lasts.
The trade-offs are noise and load on soft floors. Rubber is the loudest standard compound on polished or sealed floors, and its harder rolling surface can mark very soft finishes. If the application is a clean indoor floor with light or moderate loads, TPR is the better first order. If the application is concrete, outdoors, or the load is near 350kg per wheel, rubber is the correct choice regardless of noise.
Sizing follows the standard rule: maximum loaded weight divided by the number of casters, times 2.5 safety factor for swivel casters on hard floors. A 700kg loaded trolley on four casters needs a 438kg rating, which is past this line into special heavy forks; a 500kg trolley runs on 6-8 inch rubber casters at 300-350kg. A 200kg trolley or machine support fits 4-5 inch rubber casters at 50-160kg. The load tables on each product page give the exact per-wheel rating for swivel and rigid.
Mounting is top plate with 2 or 4 holes; the rigid and brake variants are standard options in this line because rubber casters are frequently the load-bearing casters on heavy trolleys and machine supports that must hold position. Fork finishes cover zinc, nickel and black epoxy.
