Other Industries

Some applications do not fit the usual industry boxes: aerospace jigs, agriculture trailers, theatre and stage equipment, medical-adjacent trolleys, defence fixtures and specialty fixtures built for one product. The Other Industries range on this page is the broadest on the site, with 1 to 8 inch wheel sizes and ratings from 10kg to 1000kg, so a one-off fixture and a repeat production run are quoted from the same catalogue.

For an unusual application, the selection sequence is: load per wheel after the 2.5 safety factor, floor surface, environment (heat, chemicals, washdown, outdoor), and mounting. Start from the load table on each product page and choose the smallest wheel that clears the per-wheel rating; then check the wheel compound against the environment. TPR is the quiet indoor default; PVC suits washdown and chemical areas; rubber handles grit, oil and the heaviest per-wheel loads; TPU adds abrasion resistance for high-cycle routes.

Where the standard 01 and 011 series forks do not match the fixture, Sumatic develops a variant from the same tooling family: different plate hole patterns, low-profile forks, extra-long stems, or stainless forks for marine and chemical exposure. Many special projects start as a tooling-free modification; genuinely custom forks are quoted with a short lead time for the first article.

Mounting options across the range include top plate (2 or 4 hole), threaded stem M10-M16, and swivel or rigid per position. Brakes are available on most 4 inch and larger sizes for fixtures that must hold position on a floor with any slope. Fork finishes cover zinc, nickel and black epoxy, with stainless available on request.
