Hospitality casters are the ones guests hear and staff push all day: housekeeping trolleys, laundry carts, service tables, minibar trolleys and restaurant furniture. The range on this page is selected for hospitality use, with quiet TPR and PVC wheels in 1 to 8 inch sizes and ratings from 15kg to 350kg, on the Sumatic 01 and 011 series forks.

The defining requirement in hotels and restaurants is noise. A housekeeping trolley crosses 300 carpeted and 100 hard-floor metres a shift; a loud caster is a complaint waiting to happen. TPR wheels are the first choice: they roll silently on carpet, vinyl and polished stone, and their soft compound absorbs the small bumps at door thresholds. Where trolleys are washed daily, PVC wheels wipe clean and resist detergent attack.

Sizing follows the trolley. Standard housekeeping and laundry trolleys load 80-150kg, so 4 inch casters rated 50-100kg per wheel give the right balance of quiet roll and floor protection. Heavy-duty service carts carrying dish racks or linens at 200-300kg move to 5-6 inch casters at 100-160kg ratings. Small utility caddies and rolling minibars work on 2.5-3.5 inch units.

Mounting on hospitality furniture is usually top plate with 2 or 4 holes for quick replacement, since trolleys are serviced in place. Threaded stem casters appear on older cast-aluminium furniture. Most hospitality sets pair two swivel and two rigid casters so the trolley tracks straight when fully loaded; brake versions are available for trolleys that must hold position on ramps or thresholds.
